SMEs Development Financing Scheme (SDFS) is an unsecured loan and was initiated to provide financial support to micro, small and medium enterprises in Cambodia with favorable and flexible conditions and affordable rate.

Financing Size :Up to 200 million Riels or 50,000 US Dollars
Purpose :Capital Expenditure or Working Capital
Financing Term :Up to 5 years for Working Capital or 7 years for Capital Expenditure
Currency :KHR and USD
Interest Rate :6.50% p.a (USD) I 6.25% p.a (KHR)
Collateral :No

Document Requirement

  • Borrower and Co-borrower’s identity document, such as National Identification Card (NID), passport, or other document issued bythe  authority
  • No Title deed of the collateral
  • Business registration-related documents such as Business License, Patent, Certificate of Incorporation (if applicable)
  • Income Statement (if applicable)
  • Financial Statement (if applicable)
  • Or relevant documents based on the business sector (if applicable)

Eligibility

  • The applicant is required to have a CBC K-score of at least a “BB” rating with no adverse record.
  • SMEs established in Cambodia
  • SMEs are wholly owned or at least 51% owned by Cambodian
  • Registered SMEs and SMEs in priority sectors are encouraged

On May 20,2024, in Tokyo, H.E Dr. PHAN Phalla, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Economy and Finance and Chairman of the Board of Directors of SME Bank of Cambodia presided over and led the delegates that included the Board of Directors, and the senior management of the Bank. The delegation paid a visit to the Policy Research Institute (PRI), the Ministry of Finance, Japan; and the Micro Business and Individual Unit, Japan Finance Corporation (JFC-Micro).
