SME Bank Convened Third Town Hall Meeting

Phnom Penh, July 17, 2026 – Mr. CHEA Sophak, Chief Executive Officer of SME Bank, presided over the Mid-Year 2026 Town Hall Meeting, bringing together the Bank’s management team and all staff members at the Business Development Center to review the Bank’s achievements during the first half of 2026 and outline its strategic priorities for the remainder of the year.

During the meeting, the Bank presented its key achievements, business performance, and strategic initiatives implemented in the first half of 2026, while also introducing the action plans and priorities for the second half of the year. The Town Hall also served as an important platform to strengthen internal communication, promote a shared understanding of the Bank’s strategic direction, and encourage active engagement from employees at all levels in delivering the Bank’s objectives. In addition, staff were given the opportunity to openly exchange ideas, raise questions, and share their perspectives with the management team.

In his closing remarks, Mr. CHEA Sophak expressed his sincere appreciation to the management team and all staff for their commitment, contributions, and active participation. He encouraged everyone to continue fostering a spirit of unity, professionalism, dedication, and accountability in carrying out their responsibilities to achieve the Bank’s shared goals. He also reaffirmed SME Bank’s commitment to supporting Cambodia’s economic development by strengthening the competitiveness of SMEs and improving the livelihoods of the Cambodian people.

The Cambodia SME Scheme is to assist viable SMEs impacted by the economic challenges during the Covid-19 period. With Cambodia SME Scheme, it is envisaged that SMEs will have accessibility to financing at a reasonable cost.
